LeComber et Fils
Park Lane Champagne is the sole UK importer of the superb LeComber et Fils brand. This champagne is made using old-fashioned practices and experience passed down over four generations by a family dedicated to quality and tradition.

LeComber et Fils has a 40% Chardonnay grape base (the white grape imparting finesse and elegance) and is carefully blended with the black Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. After blending, each bottle is laid down for at least three years in the cool cellars. This lengthy bottle age, as opposed to the legal minimum fifteen months, lends maturity, depth and balance to the wine and gives it a distinctive superior quality.

The grapes
Only three varieties of grape may be used in champagne:

Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is notorious for being the most difficult grape to grow and very sensitive to rot and disease. This grape gives backbone and structure to a champagne.

Pinot Meunier
Meunier is French for “Miller” and the grape derives its name from the distinctive downy leaves, which make it look like the vines have been sprinkled with flour. A very popular grape and easier to grow than Pinot Noir, but not as long-lasting.

Chardonnay
Chardonnay is the finest white wine grape in the world and the dearest of the three. It imparts finesse and elegance to the wine.
